1) Slam: /slæm/ Verb
To (cause to) move against a hard surface with force and usually a loud noise.
E.g. They slam the table of my house.
2) Upend: /ʌpˈend/ Verb
To push or move something so that the part that usually touches the ground is not touching the ground any more.
E.g. We upend our things on the table
3) Enact: /ɪˈnækt/
To put something into action, especially to make something law.
E.g. The president must enact all the laws of his country.
4) Arguably: /ˈɑːrɡ.ju.ə.bli/ Adverb
Used when stating an opinion or belief that you think can be shown to be true.
E.g. Albert Einstein was arguably the most intelligent scientist of all time.
5) Rowdy: /ˈraʊ.di/ Adjective
Noisy and possibly violent.
E.g. There was a rowdy party in my neighborhood.
6) Intervene: /ˌɪn.t̬ɚˈviːn/ Verb
To intentionally become involved in a difficult situation in order to improve it or prevent it from getting worse.
E.g. The police intervene in the discussion of two men.
7) Uphold: /ʌpˈhoʊld/ Verb
To defend or keep a principle or law, or to say that a decision that has already been made, especially a legal one, is correct.
E.g. The police officer uphold me against the thief.
8) Aim: /eɪm/ Noun
A result that your plans or actions are intended to achieve.
E.g. My main aim is be happy and become an excellent teacher.
9) Narrow: /ˈner.oʊ/ Adjective
Having a small distance from one side to the other, especially in comparison with the length.
E.g. She has a narrow minded.
10) Arbitrary: /ˈɑːr.bə.trer.i/ Adjective
Based on chance rather than being planned or based on reason.
E.g. They had an arbitrary decision.
11) Oppressive: /əˈpres.ɪv/ Adjective
Cruel and unfair.
E.g. Cuba has an oppressive goverment.
12) Unlawful: /ʌnˈlɑː.fəl/ Adjective
Not allowed by law.
E.g. The misbirth is unlawful in some countries.
13) Upset: /ʌpˈset/ Verb
To make someone worried, unhappy, or angry.
E.g. The bad new upset us.
14) Endorse: /ɪnˈdɔːrs/ Verb
To make a public statement of your approval or support for something or someone.
E.g. The judge endorse her petition in the court.
15) Armchair: /ˈɑːrm.tʃer/ Adjective
Used to refer to a person who knows, or says they know, a lot about a subject without having direct experience of it.
E.g. My aunt is an armchair annalist.
